    It's that time of year! To honor the bloom I took on an old bunkhouse we have on the place that was built around the 1920's for the resident sheep herder. Some inspired sole planted a rose bush next to the old bunk house and it survives without any attention. It's seen better days for sure.

    Gorgeous! I can't wait until the flowers are blooming here as well. Today is such a grey and depressing day so it's nice to rest my eyes on some nice spring/summer pictures. :)

    Martie, tis nice here right now! Love this time of year! In just a few short weeks it'll all be gone and our hot dry summer will descend. Glad you enjoyed the flowers! :-)

    will , i like these alot .... they pop bweautifully and announce a vibrant spring .... the first one is my fav

    The X10 does make photography fun - the colors are accurate!

    That old bunkhouse had wheels at one time and followed the sheep up to the summer pastures in the Sierra Mountains. It was pulled along by draft horse named 'Frosty' and finally by a 1949 Studebaker pickup. I gotta admit I had a wonderful childhood following a band of sheep around, and that old bunkhouse was part of it. Sadly no photos......
