Over the next few weeks I will test out a workflow using silkypix and aperture. Please advise and share your workflow insights. My current workflow concerning RAW is: shoot JPEG, and wait for Apple to Apertureize Fujifilms lovely new bayer fighting sensor.

I use RAW FILE CONVERTER on the included CD (from Silkypix). You NEED to apply the update to correct an initial blowout problem.
    http://www.fujifilm.com/support/digital_cameras/software/myfinepix_studio/rfc/v3291/index.html

Drag the .RAF file into RAW CONVERTER.
GO TO THE VIEW MENU AND CLICK ON HISTOGRAM AND HIGHLIGHT CONTROLLER. MOVE THE PANELS WHERE YOU WANT THEM.

IF YOU HAVE BLOWN HIGHLIGHTS AND BURIED BLACKS REDUCE THE CONTRAST.
IF YOU HAVE BLOWN HIGHLIGHTS SLIDE THE DYNAMIC RANGE SLIDER LEFT.
IT DOES NOT PICK UP THE FILM COLOR SO CLICK ON STANDARD COLOR AND PICK ONE. V=VELVIA P=PROVIA A=ASTIA (THEY ARE NOT AS GOOD AS THE JPG)
YOU CAN CHANGE THE COLOR TEMPERTURE - CLICK ON THE SUNLIGHT SYMBOL OR THE ADJACENT MENU.
    I LEAVE SHARPNESS AT DEFAULT.

IN THE DEVELOPMENT MENU CLICK SETTINGS FOR DEVELOPED IMAGE AND SET TIFF TO 16BIT SAVE EXIF
SAME MENU CLICK DEVELOPMENT, SET FILE TYPE TO TIFF THEN SAVE.

I THEN CAN BRING IT IN TO ANY RAW EDITOR OR PHOTO EDITOR.

    Hi Don,
thank you for this, it has helped me a lot.
My main beef with the X-Pro is the lack of my normal RAW software (LR3.6) being available, annoyed to the extent I am looking at alternatives even.
I have muddled with this SilkyPix a bit, and batched a few RAW's into TIFF's, just to try things.
While I have muddled OK, this workflow has helped, immensely.

I have CS6 and ACR 7.1 and I am testing it now. I shoot mostly landscapes in Velvia and I made a preset in ACR to give me a starting point.
    HSL LUMINANCE RED+40 GREENS +40 AQUA -30 BLUE -10
SHARPENING TAB AMOUNT 50 RADIUS 0.6 DETAIL 50
    BASIC TAB CLARITY +10

Click in the symbol on the far right of the word BASIC and select Save Settings. On the first panel UNCLICK the White Balance to preserve the WB on future images, click Save then name it and Save.. Then you can apply them to other images by using Load Settings.

It slightly increases the noise in the sky but it looks pretty good to me. The plain ACR images do look soft to me but this looks close to my preferred settings for Fuji's RAW FILE CONVERTER = color set to MC1 and Sharpening at Default. They both work for me now.
    :Don
PS: I save in 16 bit
