Is there a plastic cover or protection film for it?

Buy a 3" GGS glass screen protector. Cheap on the Bay. Solid.

The GGS glass screen protector arrived. its easy to apply and definitely adds a peace of mind about protecting the LCD.

I thought that the screen size (protector) was 2.8 not 3.0

The 3" is a much better fit and does not hide any of the LCD (I know as I initially bought a 2.8"0.

Don't get the 2.8!! It doesn't fit well. I made this mistake and had to order the 3 in.

Ditto! Had to add a new screen protector to the replacement X10. 3.0" does the job with a nice amount of spare room. Perfect!

I've purchased and use ACMAXX 2.8" HARD LCD SCREEN ARMOR PROTECTOR FujiFilm X10 X 10 Fuji camera. For me it fits very well. Available on eBay for 23 USD.

I have had both the GGS and the Acmaxx. I prefer the GGS. it has a glass screen and is more scratch resistant. Not to mention the cost difference of $18.

My vote is for the ACMAXX. I've used them now on an LX3, an LX5, an X100 and now the X10. When I sent my X10 in for the sensor replacement, btw, I didn't pry off the ACMAXX protector. Fuji replaced the whole camera -- but sent the protector back in a separate bag, and I stuck it on the new one and, to my surprise, all is well. My choice of it over one of the glass ones is simply that I think if it got hit it would be less inclined to shatter. This is just surmise, though; I do not know one way or the other. The ACMAXX is polycarbonate.

The GGS 2.8 really doesn't fit the x10 since the horizontal dimension is a bit too long relative to the vertical. It literally cuts off part of the LCD in the vertical direction. The ACMAXX may be "shaped" better for the aspect ratio of the x10 LCD.

Just got the 3" fits perfectly.
    Thx for the heads up
  • I use the 3" Aegis screen protector from Giottos for my new X10. It's more expensive than the GGS by a considerable amount, but it has a 12 layer multicoating and is made with Schott glass. I've been using them for awhile.....had one on my Leica D-Lux 5, and one is currently on my Pentax K-5. The 3 inch model fits perfectly on the X10's LCD without obscuring any of the view.

Does the screen protector have any impact when keeping the X10 in the offical Fuji X10 carry case, ie would it snag on the rear bottom leading edge of the case?? My X10 fits tight to the case, i had an instance where the advesive was lipping between the stiching of the case and the camera resulting in the glue sticking to the body of the camera, the glue comes off quite easily but its an inconvieience.
  • No problem here with either the X10 or X100 with screen protector and Fuji case.
    Both work fine.
    Fuji X100
    Fuji X10
    Nikon D700
    Canon S95
  • I use screen protector film cover (3.5”)

I don't use anything and my screen is perfect. The X100 is kept inside a neoprene pouch, inside a very nice (Billingham) camera bag when I don't use it. Keys are always in the outer pockets, such as the knife, fountain pens and hard stuff, that's all. I keep away camera from zips also, an old guitar player habit (wanna ruin that Les Paul finish against your sporty trendy sweat and buckle?)
