Walk. Short film with X10!
  • Hi all,

Did a short film with X10. Check it out.

  • That's really nice. Very crisp and clean shots that leave littl doubt about the potential of this camera as a quick 'n dirty video camera.

Also very nicely shot, I like your choice of angles!

Very nice indeed. I would love to make a film but I have no idea how to do it. I imagine there's more to just pressing the video button and aiming it at something! What software did you use to edit it?
  • @zerozero31 Thanks :D No doubt this small cam can be used for bigger projects!

@LindsayD You'll have to come out with an idea beforehand on what's your final product. If your travelling, I would say capture more scenes than you will normally shoot at. Then when in post it will be easier to compile and piece those small clips together.

I'm using final cut pro x to edit them. Quite a simple tool as this my first software to use for video editing :D

Thanks ghostcrabby, I'll take a look at Final Cut Pro. I'm hoping to make some basic product videos for my website, or simply a video of me sitting talking on a particular subject.

Thank you! I'm so impressed by your video, I especially liked the 'dog's eye view'.
  • :D no problem! Oh that, i mount on tripod, flipped in upside down and film it. Did a 180 degree flip in post.
  • Really like your x-10 film. Shows the camera off nicely.. nice editing.
  • @seeingwhatis Thanks lots for your comment! Plus it's versatile with the zoom range too!
  • Photoshop's CS6 has video editing now, so that's always an option for those looking to do video editing within a tool they already know. You can do quick transitions and color correction, but that's about it. No image stabilizer filter or anything.

Ah yes, I was wondering if anyone here had tried the video editing feature in CS6. There seem to be some free video editing packages available but I've no idea if they're any better than Photoshop.
  • Cool didn't know that CS6 had such capabilities. Lightroom can edit video color, etc too. But can't seem to export that out :O
