Gipper I am a long-time National Geographic photographer who, like many here, was looking for something light and high quality to carry when I don't need my Nikon DSLRs. This site has been a big help as I have begun shooting with my X100, and I thank everyone for their tips and inspirational photos. So far, I am very happy with the camera -- we will see if Nat Geo likes the images.
I do have one question. The playback of my just-taken picture in the EVF seems contrasty and a bit on the dark side. Little to no shadow detail, though it is there in the lCD and in the recorded image. Is this just the way it is? Is there any way to adjust the brightness of the EVF?
I hope to post some pictures one of these days, and participate in the monthly challenge. You can see some of my work and media shows for the Geographic at www.Gipstein.com
Thanks,
Todd Gipstein
