    They look more like overblown highlights to me.

    I have this one http://amzn.to/ZIGZyE 3mm apparently, and I have no problem with it. Someone somewhere else here said that his/hers didn't sit too tightly.

    No problem with that here. I noticed that the cap has ONE slight kink on the rim - well, mine does anyway - in order to make the fit a tight one(?).

    Well, it obviously does not fit over the hood, but it does fit over the filter.

    All I can say is that I bought this one "40mm NiSi DW1 WIDE BAND PRO MC UV Filter Multi Coated for Fujifilm FinePix X10 & X-Pro1 (No extra adapter ring is required)" from Amazon for £14.29. Fits like a glove, speedy delivery, and you can screw the below lens hood, which I also bought for £8.99, onto it. Again, a great fit. Total £23.28. You wouldn't even get the hood from Fuji for that. Oh, and the lens hood is indistinguishable from the Fuji one.

    Have just bought this, and cannot fault it in any way, including speed of delivery: "40mm NiSi DW1 WIDE BAND PRO MC UV Filter Multi Coated for Fujifilm FinePix X10 & X-Pro1 (No extra adapter ring is required)".

    £14.29 from Amazon http://amzn.to/15ucKRk Check out the reviews, every one of the 18 reviews is 5-star.

    This http://twitter.yfrog.com/h0ailyolj [but not the mouse] came with my refurbished X10 from Fuji. Cant' say fairer than that, can you? ;

    Other than that, not always wishing wish to carry my big Manfrotto, and it's not really necessary with a small camera such as the X10, the Hama "Traveller Compact Pro" http://bit.ly/XGGWoX goes with me. A bargain at £35 on Amazon, and it beats the Manfrotto equivalent hands down. Good video here:

    I kinda gathered that ;

    I am intrigued by the function that allows you to do a RAW conversion in camera. I wonder if anyone here is regularly doing it. It looks a bit fiddly to me. Still, you don't lose anything if you happen to not like the result, as you retain the RAW.

    Well, erm, quite ;

    The last of the/a bunch, I suspect. I noticed that the regular ones are 'sold out' (does the X20 take a different battery?), and as the camera is discontinued, maybe Fuji just wanted to get rid of the batteries? Just four refurbished ones left now, I noticed.

    Can you be sure that yours are genuine Fuji ones? :-?

    I came across refurbished batteries on the Fuji site for £9.60, and as the independently manufactured ones on Amazon did not look too convincing, I ordered a couple. It will be interesting to see how they fare, as refurbished and battery are kind of contradictory in terms, but even if they are not as good as 'new' ones, and I don't expect them to be, I didn't think I could go too wrong with them. As I said, the reviews on Amazon did not convince me.

    I will get back once I have received them.

    And talking about refurbished, I noticed that the X10s have sold out. I bought one for £250 minus 10% with a voucher code. Looks mint, and the serial No. starts with 14N.

    That's how I understood he meant it too. Thanks

    I am not quite clear on what you mean by that, you were amazed at the quality of the *converted* JPEG file, or the JPEG you got without you doing any conversion?
