  1. WTB: XF 16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR

Yeah. I realize that. Had a chance to play around with one the other day. Now "ME WANT"!!! ;-)
  2. PM me the details if you have one to sell. Can trade the 18-55 + cash or outright buy yours.
  3. Is my X100 grey market?

For the record as a sample. The label on the box of one of my X-T1s clearly has the "US" printed on it... http://screencast.com/t/Z7pFkKQ3bhi9
  4. X-E2 body only, mint

OK. No problem. Glad you were able to sell. Thanks for letting me know.
  5. X-E2 body only, mint

Still available? What's the asking price? Can you post some pics?
  6. switching from Canon to Fuji

I tried the switch from Canon to Fuji and have been telling myself that I should for the past two years. I took that bold step and sold my 5D III about 5 weeks ago. The day I shipped it out I started having second doubts. Looking through all that L glass that will now have to be used on the cropped sensor 7D Mark II got me thinking that it's probably not best (most optimal) use for that glass. Long story short, I bought another 5D III about a week ago, and to me honest I don't think I will let this one go. I guess it's nice to have the choice to use the best tool for the job. In my mind, mirrorless and dSLRs each have their niche and distinct advantages over the other. dSLRs: very fast focus and (at least for now) a more advanced focus system than what mirrorless manufacturers have to offer. Mirrorless: For just about anything else. 95%+ of the time, Fuji is what I prefer (and enjoy) using, but there are times when dSLRs provide better options. Just thought I'd share my story. I don't think I will be selling 5D III, or the 7D II anytime soon but I think it's fair to say that I will probably not be buying any more lenses for the Canon systems. I have been investing in my Fuji glass collection of late and don't see that changing. It has been my experience that there are Fuji lenses which rival the Canon L glass--at a much affordable price point. YMMV. I LOVE Fuji for general purpose--everything but focussing capability in fast action focus / low light situations, so for now, waiting for that dSLR killer (improved focus acquisition and tracking speed) from Fuji.
  7. OK. Sorry about that. Here is the information: The Lorain West Breakwater Light, also called the Lorain Harbor Light, is a lighthouse in Lorain, Ohio. The light was built in 1917 on Lake Erie by the United States Army Corps of Engineers. Think this was my first outing with the Fuji 55-200 and more of test shot. I have seen other images of the lighthouse from other photographers and had added this spot on my list. I knew the sky was going to be beauty to capture and also discovered through the Photographer's Ephemeris tool that the sun would sunset just to the right of the lighthouse. Seemed like a great opportunity to put the 55-200 through its paces. I used the X-T1. f/6.4 1/350s 164mm. I believe it was handheld. It was taken from the pier at Lake Erie facing NW. The image has been sitting in my LR catalog since last August (2015). Stumbled across it as I was converting from 5.4 to 6.x. Post-processed: NIK Color Efex Pro and then cropped and moderate black adjustment inside of LR.
  8. An image I shot last summer with X-T1 and 55-200 made it on Flickr Explore Humbled to have one of the images I captured with the X-T1 and the 55-200 lens featured as one of 500 images for the day on Flickr Explore!
  9. I saw this this morning and thought I'd share... $699 for Fujifilm X-T1 Body Only (gray market) is a steal! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fujifilm-X-T1-Mirrorless-Digital-Camera-Body-Only/401102476650?hash=item5d6392156a&_trkparms=5374%3AFeatured|5373%3A0
  10. Hello everyone. I am planning a trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic in June. I have done some research to determine if there are any "must vist" locations for capturing memorable images. If anyone in the group has any suggestions in terms of "If you're going to DC, you must visit xxx". Typically when I travel to places I've never been before, I find a lot of value in participating in a photography-centered scenic tour. The one's where the guide is a photographer and takes the group to those places that I am seeking to find out about here since there does not appear to be any photographic tours that I've been able to find. We will be staying at a beach resort. I suspect most of the images will be on the beach, but would like to venture outside of the resort for some either street photography or landscape images. I have not found any, but if anyone happens to know of any individual or company that runs photo excursions, please provide information. Any thoughts, suggestions, or other pointers in terms of safety; places / times to avoid are greatly appreciated.

  12. I can't wait for this to come to Fuji. I just bought my first manual focus lens, but have many Canon L lenses that I have yet to use on Fuji.
  13. I noticed that on the X100t, the option exists to use the ISO as a quick menu button. This does not seem to be an option on the X-T1. I assume it is because the X-T1 has a dedicated ISO dial on the body and the X100T does not? Or I am I missing something here? I would like to have the ISO settings a parameter on the custom settings as below image of the x100t.
