The Narrow Gauge

Recommended Posts

This is recently restored Southern Pacific Narrow Gauge #18 4-6-0 at the Laws site near Bishop, CA, USA.  I've been working in the style and technology-look of the early 50's.  I hope this takes you way back.  XPro2 w/ 18-55.

Well done.

I may be biased because I really like steam trains, but I think it is fair to say that this picture is technically excellent (composition, focus, light, exposure, ...) and, most important, it has "personality". Indeed you were able to convincingly convey the mood and style of pictures of yore. I hope to see more of these from you.

Completely agree with Marco.

Good to see you guys are taking care of your rail heritage.

In UK we have many heritage steam railways run by enthusiasts but self-supporting. Many of them have "1940s weekends" throughout the good weather months and they are always very well attended and great for photography.
