Weird Noise X-T10 When Turned Off

Recommended Posts

goldenmolasses

Hi guys,

My Fuji X-T10 can't seem to properly turn off when I switch the button to off. Display turns off, but there's a constant clicking noise. It stops when I remove the lens, but continues to have that noise when reinserted (while 'off'). The only way to stop the noise is to remove the battery. Can someone help out?

Other Notes: Functions properly when turned on.

Thanks!

Do you have "Pre AF" switched on maybe? This keeps the lens focusing. The OIS can also make a sound and if you have the camera set to "Clean sensor at switch off" (and maybe also at switch on) then you might hear that too, but for only a short time.

Which lens or is it all lenses?

Vic

is the lens updated with the latest firmware? Clicking aperture blades was an issue on the 35mm f1.4 at one time..

Hi guys,

Pre AF is off, clean sensor is off, lens is a 35mm f2.0. I tried switching to a different lens and it still has the clicking sound when turned off (w/ battery)

Thanks!
