Am I the last SilkyPix user?

I like Silky, it converts the RAW files very well in an obtuse sort of way. Once you start to delve into it it's a very good RAW processor but little more.

If there any experts here please announce yourself as I have a question about how Silky treats a RAW file when you have selected a film simulation.

For example if in camera you select RAW+FINE and a monochrome simulation then Silky automatically and annoyingly applies a mono conversion on loading. You can use a pull down to override this but it's something you have to do actively.

Thanks form a lonely Silky user.

I have never used Silky but Capture One and Lightroom both now have settings that allow them to honor the in camera settings so even if you shoot RAW only but have the film simulation set to Acros the imported file will have the Acros simulation applied. In both C1and Lightroom you can turn this option off so a standard default setting is applied on import. I guess somewhere in the Silky Pix options there is probably a similar ability to decide what happens on import.

Thank you.

I have located just that function in Silky.

Looks like I am the last Silky user though :)
