Aidan
Anyone had any experience of using the X-Pro 1 (and 35mm/f1.4 and 18mm/f2 lenses) in temperatures as low as -35 to -40 Celsius? The manual says -40, but I'm wondering if anyone has actually been out with the camera in that kind of cold.
Ferdinand
Used in similar weather in ekaterinburg Russian, runs fine butbattery drain is very high. A spare one is must have

hamsong
I just photographed my brother running a half marathon in Minneapolis called the Polar Dash. It was -4 (F) when I started, and actually got a little colder in the 2 hours I was standing there. The camera operated just fine, but my fingers and toes began to malfunction! gryphon1911
I was just out yesterday in 10F weather with the X-E1 and there were no problems other than battery drain faster than at warmer temps. At that temp though, even my Nikon D300 battery suffered in performance.
Aidan
Thanks everyone, sounds like this isn't a problem. Spare batteries kept close to the body sounds like a must though!
Still in AK
The manual states 0 degree C to +40 degrees C, not -40.
