Canon Eos EF to FX adaptor with aperture!

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone! I have a 50mm 1.4 Canon lens and have tried with my XT1 with a simple adaptor and looks very nice, but the only thing i hate is the ability that i can't control aperture. So i found this two adaptors on E-bay and i am wondering if anyone has any experience with those...

Has anyone here tried something like this? Does it really work?

Thanks in advance

I don't have any personal experience with these, but I do remember when they first hit the market some users were trying them out. The aperture values are crude in that you're essentially guessing with arbitrary numbers on the adaptor, but it does work. There can be side effects however, depending on the focal length of the lens or the general lens design, you may experience vignetting at certain apertures. I'm not certain how the 50mm would handle it, hopefully someone else can chime in.

The reviews for a more costly adaptor at B&H Photo seem pretty mixed, but should give you an idea of what to expect with these eBay ones http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/994988-REG/fotodiox_eos_iris_fx_p_pro_fujifilm_x_mount_adapter.html
