Great close up!  These birds are amazing creatures.   Their hearing is so highly evolved they can zero in on prey in total darkness mainly due to their ears being on different planes rather than level as in most birds/mammals.   Their eyesight is tuned to be able to detect the slightest motion from prey, even a slight momentary turn of the head.   Their feathers are ultra soft - which allows them to fly in near total silence but they are not water repellant so they avoid hunting in rain.

      Hi Guys,
Looking for some help with this. I recently purchased a Fujifilm X-T1 as an upgrade to my XE-1 which I still have. Unfortunately from day one I am barely able to see anything through the viewfinder - it is all just a blur to the point that it is almost unusable. The backstreen shows the images clearly, but I would rather rely on the viewfinder itself.  The lenses are working fine with my XE-1 the problem is just with the new camera. Anyone know why this might be and possible solutions to resolve it.

Quick, easy. no glue, no mess. Cut sowing needles to length. Use needle nose pliers to slide them in. I did three, two would do. See picture.

The Rochester Sweeps Festival, Mayday weekend 2017. More than 50 Sweeps, Dead Horse, Green man, Morris and folk dance and song groups perform along the Dickensian High st, Around Rochester Cathedral Green, the Castle green and in Rochester Castle grounds. Retro clothes and steam punk also have a strong following at the festival. At dawn on Mayday on nearby Blueberry hill there is a ceremony to welcome the May where they burn virgins and stuff.
If you live in the SE UK, make your calendar for next year Every year it bigger and better - and it's free! Lots of food and drink (not free) and a fair in the castle grounds.
