Reese.jpg

A photo from my first (unpaid) commissioned photoshoot. An office friend asked me to take photos of her son at the playing field. I spent an exhausting but satisfying hour there.

I had a lot of ideas about using various lenses, but ultimately ended up using the good old reliable 18-55 mm mainly due to the flexibility I needed just to keep up with the child. Yes a portrait lens would have been nice too, especially for the bokeh, but.. lets just say young children are difficult subjects at the best of times. :-)

This is a slightly cropped out of camera photo.

His father was blowing bubbles to distract him. Note the intense look on the child's face.
