  1. Thanks for pointing this out. I think it is now fixed.
  2. For Sale Fujifilm X-M1 (full spectrum) infrared body and L-Plate $325 I purchased this camera about a year ago. I enjoyed shooting with it. But decided for my old eyes, I'd be best suited by a body that has an viewfinder and have recently bought an IR converted X-E2. So this body is up for sale. No box. No manuals. Just the body. I will throw in an L-Plate that I also bought soon after receiving it from original owner. It looks to be in pristine condition. LCD cover on since day one. After close inspection I don't see any imperfections. $325 is my asking price X-M1 body with Lifepixel full-spectrum conversion Same camera converted / sold by Lifepixel cost is $474 ($199 for the body + $275 for the conversion): https://screencast.com/t/20AJlMiG https://www.lifepixel.com/shop/converted-cameras/fujifilm-converted-cameras/used-fujifilm-x-m1-camera-and-conversion If you ever wanted to play with Full-Spectrum or IR. Not a bad way to start. 3. Greetings. For anyone who is a member of Facebook, I created a new FB group called "Pimped-out Fujifilm-X" because I thought it would be a great place for us Fuji lovers to post images of how we have accessorized our beloved Fuji gear. Since my switch to Fuji about 4 years ago, I am always looking at ways to improve the usability (and looks) of my gear. I have found sporadic posts all over the internet that depict how others have done just that. Thought it would be a great idea to create this centralized group where its sole purpose is for members of the Fuji communities to post images of their gear. I think over time this can become a valuable resource for sharing our experiences with accessories that either worked out as expected or didn't live up to expectations. I am inviting anyone interested in joining to please swing by, sign up and participate. I hope this will grow into something that will add some value to the on-line Fuji community. The link is below. Thanks for your consideration. https://www.facebook.com/groups/206059773312634
  4. ISO/WTB: Fuji XF23mm F2 R WR Looking to buy this lens in the ~275-300 price range. Willing to entertain PP gift if coming from established seller/buyer or someone with strong on-line presence. Must have all items including box. Please PM me if you have one.
  5. Selling off all of my Canon gear (7D Mark II, Lenses, Flash, Battery grips and extras) I have completely moved to the Fujifilm X-Trans system from Canon and have no use for the following gear. If you have any Fuji gear that is collecting dust and also shoot Canon, please read on. I am open to any trade offers +/- cash depending on fair market value of traded equipment. Picture gallery of all images: http://www.buckeyephotography.com/For-Sale/Canon-Gear-For-Sale/ The asking price is on bodies and lenses is about 80% of the KEH used prices for similar condition items. I figure that’s fair market price from personal seller. I have excellent feedback on eBay (psaltis_tony), FredMiranda (psaltis) as well as other places online. BODIES: - Includes original box and all contents Canon EOS 7D Mark II (Shutter count: 17900) - $995 LENSES: - Includes original box and all contents Canon EF 24-70mm f2.8L USM - $865 Canon EF 70-200mm f2.8L IS USM - $1040 Tokina AT-X 16-28mm F2.8 PRO FX- $425 Canon EF 50mm f1.4 USM - $215 - SOLD Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM - $320 Canon 1.4X EF Extender II Teleconverter - $185 - SOLD MISC ITEMS: - BOTH for $200 – Missing boxes - SOLD Canon 550EX Flash - $75 - SOLD Quantum Turbo Battery and (2) Quantum Canon CZ flash cords - $150 - SOLD BATTERY GRIP - Missing boxes Canon OEM BG-E2 (20D/30D) with AA battery holder- $25 - SOLD Smoke-free home. ALL prices firm. All bodies and lenses have been rated by regional camera store as EX/EX+. If not local (NE Ohio or Columbus) cash sale, buyer pays PP fees and 1/2 of shipping/handling. Most (see images) include original box, manuals, etc. PM with any questions.
  6. Yeah. I realize that. Had a chance to play around with one the other day. Now "ME WANT"!!! ;-)
  7. PM me the details if you have one to sell. Can trade the 18-55 + cash or outright buy yours.
  8. For the record as a sample. The label on the box of one of my X-T1s clearly has the "US" printed on it... http://screencast.com/t/Z7pFkKQ3bhi9
  9. OK. No problem. Glad you were able to sell. Thanks for letting me know.
  10. Still available? What's the asking price? Can you post some pics?
  11. I tried the switch from Canon to Fuji and have been telling myself that I should for the past two years. I took that bold step and sold my 5D III about 5 weeks ago. The day I shipped it out I started having second doubts. Looking through all that L glass that will now have to be used on the cropped sensor 7D Mark II got me thinking that it's probably not best (most optimal) use for that glass. Long story short, I bought another 5D III about a week ago, and to me honest I don't think I will let this one go. I guess it's nice to have the choice to use the best tool for the job. In my mind, mirrorless and dSLRs each have their niche and distinct advantages over the other. dSLRs: very fast focus and (at least for now) a more advanced focus system than what mirrorless manufacturers have to offer. Mirrorless: For just about anything else. 95%+ of the time, Fuji is what I prefer (and enjoy) using, but there are times when dSLRs provide better options. Just thought I'd share my story. I don't think I will be selling 5D III, or the 7D II anytime soon but I think it's fair to say that I will probably not be buying any more lenses for the Canon systems. I have been investing in my Fuji glass collection of late and don't see that changing. It has been my experience that there are Fuji lenses which rival the Canon L glass--at a much affordable price point. YMMV. I LOVE Fuji for general purpose--everything but focussing capability in fast action focus / low light situations, so for now, waiting for that dSLR killer (improved focus acquisition and tracking speed) from Fuji.
  12. OK. Sorry about that. Here is the information: The Lorain West Breakwater Light, also called the Lorain Harbor Light, is a lighthouse in Lorain, Ohio. The light was built in 1917 on Lake Erie by the United States Army Corps of Engineers. Think this was my first outing with the Fuji 55-200 and more of test shot. I have seen other images of the lighthouse from other photographers and had added this spot on my list. I knew the sky was going to be beauty to capture and also discovered through the Photographer's Ephemeris tool that the sun would sunset just to the right of the lighthouse. Seemed like a great opportunity to put the 55-200 through its paces. I used the X-T1. f/6.4 1/350s 164mm. I believe it was handheld. It was taken from the pier at Lake Erie facing NW. The image has been sitting in my LR catalog since last August (2015). Stumbled across it as I was converting from 5.4 to 6.x. Post-processed: NIK Color Efex Pro and then cropped and moderate black adjustment inside of LR.
  13. An image I shot last summer with X-T1 and 55-200 made it on Flickr Explore Humbled to have one of the images I captured with the X-T1 and the 55-200 lens featured as one of 500 images for the day on Flickr Explore!
  14. I saw this this morning and thought I'd share... $699 for Fujifilm X-T1 Body Only (gray market) is a steal! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fujifilm-X-T1-Mirrorless-Digital-Camera-Body-Only/401102476650?hash=item5d6392156a&_trkparms=5374%3AFeatured|5373%3A0
  15. Hello everyone. I am planning a trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic in June. I have done some research to determine if there are any "must vist" locations for capturing memorable images. If anyone in the group has any suggestions in terms of "If you're going to DC, you must visit xxx". Typically when I travel to places I've never been before, I find a lot of value in participating in a photography-centered scenic tour. The one's where the guide is a photographer and takes the group to those places that I am seeking to find out about here since there does not appear to be any photographic tours that I've been able to find. We will be staying at a beach resort. I suspect most of the images will be on the beach, but would like to venture outside of the resort for some either street photography or landscape images. I have not found any, but if anyone happens to know of any individual or company that runs photo excursions, please provide information. Any thoughts, suggestions, or other pointers in terms of safety; places / times to avoid are greatly appreciated.
