  1. Hi there! Later today I'll receive my new X-T20, and I was wondering if any of you here could suggest what the best way is to import the raw files into Lightroom (DNG?), since Lightroom doesn't support the X-T20 yet. Hope to hear from you and thanks in advance! Dennis
  2. Hi friends, when I import images into LR (recently updated) from my new X-T2, in the import window there is no preview, just the letters "RAF". When I import them I can see them in the develop module, and I believe, also, in the import. But to select which ones to import in the first place is almost impossible. (This does not happen with my X70 or Leica, btw; I thought it was because of the recent LR update, but have since changed my mind.) Anyone with similar issues - and most of all: anyone out there with a fix? Thanks a lot, ola
  3. Im enjoying using the X-Pro 2 hugely - it is a truly LOVELY camera to use (full review coming soon) - but I am still far from convinced that Lightroom is fully up to speed when it comes to processing RAW files. I even, somewhat foolishly, purchased a new Mac to see if the speed of my PC was an issue. It isn't. Im sure my files from the old X-Pro 1 were cleaner at ISO3200 - and even if the 'filmic' look is appealing for this kind of image, it doesn't always work for everything I shoot. I do hope updates keep coming as Im getting tired of looking thru the veiw-finder to see how glorious my images can be....

    HDR in Lightroom with Ctrl+Shift+H

Hi all If you are not familiar with Lightroom's keyboard shortcuts you might be happy to know the keyboard shortcuts for the HDR and panorama features. Ctrl + H brings up the HDR dialog. Ctrl + Shift + H skips the HDR dialog and just creates a HDR right away, in the background.Ctrl + M brings up the panorama dialog.Ctrl + Shift + M skips the panorama dialog and just creates a panorama right away, in the background. However, I don't understand what settings are applied when using the Shift shortcuts. Is it the default settings or is it the very last settings that I used when creating the very latest merge? EDIT: Scott Kelby to the rescue. He wrote a blog post (http://lightroomkillertips.com/are-you-taking-advantage-of-lightrooms-headless-mode/) on it and according to him it uses the last settings. I have not been able to confirm this though. Can't find anything in the documentation.
  5. Today Adobe released Camera Raw 9.1.1 for Photoshop CS6, CC, and Lightroom. Source: http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2015/07/camera-raw-9-1-1-is-now-available.html Has anyone had a chance to try out the new update yet? The big improvement for Fuji X photographers is noted as a bug fix, "Improved speed of loading Fujifilm X-Trans RAW images." That's definitely been a weak link with processing X-Trans RAW files, they always seem to take so much longer to render compared to traditional camera's RAW files, particularly in Lightroom. I'll be updating my computer soon, I'll report back on speed improvements in Lightroom 5.
