  1. Unusually dry winter in southern highlands of New South Wales, Australia resulted in this very small waterfall.

  7. Hey y'all, I was shopping around and noticed the rediculous low prices on the Xe1 used market and was wondering who here still uses an Xe1? I used to own one but sold it right when the X-T1 was released. Although the Xe1 served me well the T1 was leaps better. But now I'm thinking of picking up a E1 since they are selling for so low. Has the latest firrmware updates affected the performance(not sure what version it's up to)? And would you still recommend it or is it worth spending the extra couple hundred for a second hand Xe2? Anyways would love to hear from you E1 users out there if there are any. Take care!
  8. This house is about one kilometre away from the first. It is still notionally occupied as it has a car parked in front of the gate most days and the gate is openned.
  9. Hi all, I recently bought a used (but slightly tatty body) X-E1 and promptly sent it off to an expert for converting to Infra-red... Having just had it returned I was checking all the settings i require and discovered that I couldn't access the Firmware info by pressing 'Disp/Back' button. Nothing happens....is there any other way of determining what the present version is, and will I damage the system if I downloaded and installed the latest version? Also, despite having the settings set to show a 9 grid and the virtual horizon, neither of these show.....Is it possible that the chap who did the conversion may have upset the system? I i think it would be unlikely as he is a pro IR converter..(but I suppose anything is possible lol) I also want to see if my lens has been updated but of course can't check that either...:( Any suggestions would be appreciated... Cheers, Martin
  10. What I'd like to see on a new X-E3 would be the 24 mg sensor, etc that we have on the X-Pro and T2 - and all those simulations, especially the ACROS one. But in addition to that I'd like the in-body, telephoto sensor crop so that I could just have my XF 23 1.4 lens on, and then use the sensor crop to get the equivalent of a 35mm lens (50mm FF). Occasionally I like to take just the camera out with only one lens on it for the afternoon or even day, without having to cart around my kit (ie bag of gear), and just having that versatility would be helpful. I like the flatter size of the X-E series and would like to see it continue.
  11. Hi I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the A+M AF+MF function in the menu does on the E-X1? It is found at the very end of the Shooting Menu. I can't seem to see what it is for. I am using a X-E1 with the 16-50mm f/ 3.5-5.6 OIS lens. Many thanks Ted McKee

  15. Spent a few days decompressing from work over on Tybee Island outside of Savannah, Georgia last month and started looking around since fall is going to be nonexistent here in the East Tennessee mountains this year. This one and a couple more are in the gallery. It was nice just wandering around for a couple of hours with a camera again.
