  2. Hi all. I signed up to share my hack (and fix) for the flimsy (bulging) door covering the HDMI/USB/Mic connectors on Fujifilm X-T1. It's a hack so be prepared to cut the rubbery plastic. Look at picture #2 to see where to cut the plastic, 1mm should be enough. It's quite easy really. Pictures follow. Take couple of 1mm paper clips and straighten them up. These will be carefully bent again and placed inside the door as in the picture. Glue it with a superglue (or some other glue) making sure there's no excess glue popping up. Then, close the flimsy door and hold it against something to cause
  3. Hi Guys, Looking for some help with this. I recently purchased a Fujifilm X-T1 as an upgrade to my XE-1 which I still have. Unfortunately from day one I am barely able to see anything through the viewfinder - it is all just a blur to the point that it is almost unusable. The backstreen shows the images clearly, but I would rather rely on the viewfinder itself. The lenses are working fine with my XE-1 the problem is just with the new camera. Anyone know why this might be and possible solutions to resolve it.
  4. Quick, easy. no glue, no mess. Cut sowing needles to length. Use needle nose pliers to slide them in. I did three, two would do. See picture.
  5. Hi! had my X-T1 for two years and mostly used in the studio. And now it looks like the camera dissolves. The top and front detaches from the rest of the camera. Rubber grip loosens and changes shape. Has anyone here heard or experienced the same problems? Has worked with many brands and this I have never experienced before. I'm new here and hope someone can give me some answers to this problem? camera is sent to Fujifilm and waiting for a response from the.

  7. Let me know what you have to offer and how much. ?
  8. I've previously owned a X-Pro 1 and x100, but ultimately ditched them for film, and eventually Leica. I've really enjoyed using zone focusing and taking autofocus out of the equation. I'm currently saving my pennies for a Leica 21 Super-Elmar, but geeeeeeeezzzz it's expensive. With prices on the used market, I'm being tempted by an x-series camera 14 f2.8 and 23 f2. in my previous experience, zone focusing on an X had two big drawbacks: the INCREDIBLY conservative DoF scale shutter lag in manual mode, it appeared that the aperture would stop down and the camer
  9. Just wondered if anyone is using a Meike MK320 on there Fuji X-T1 ? If so is there any issues with it and the latest firmware as I have read elsewhere that the Nissan i40 won't work correctly and has to be sent away for a firmware upgrade ? So would this also apply to the Meike MK320 ? thank you in anticipation ?
  10. Hi, I am a new member here! I have got a x-m1, which I love, and am now thinking of investing in the Fuji range and selling my Dslr. But where to go? Currently I am thinking x-t1 or maybe x-t20? I'm shooting mostly children's portraits but also some weddings. I would greatly appreciate any advice ?
  11. As most of us already know, the Fuji image files look awesome. To be fair, image files from any camera these days will look really good, but there's something really special about the way the Fujifilm X Series cameras portray color and tone. While the Fuji image processors play a part in this, much of the Fuji mojo is due to the X-Trans sensor. With its proprietary non-Bayer pattern design, the X-Trans sensor reproduces color in a unique way that's different from the way it's done in just about every other digital camera. In my search to figure out what's really going on here, it occ
  12. I've just bought the Instax SP2 printer to use with my X-T1. It prints perfectly well from my iPhone and iPad and should, in theory connect to my X-T1. I have updated the firmware to the latest version, V5.0 and the 'Instax Printer Print' option appears on the playback menu but it is greyed out so I cannot select it. I am shooting in RAW and Normal Quality so there is a JPEG there to print. In the absence of any useful instructions from Fujifilm, I wonder if anyone has already solved this problem? Perhaps I am missing something obvious. All contributions gratefully received.

  17. Hi, My focus assist light doesn't seem to be coming on in low light situations. Has anyone experienced this problem? Are there certain camera set-ups when it gets deactivated? Many thanks!
  18. Aloha. Every time I change my battery out for a new/fully charged battery, all my custom settings reset. I've been told that the Internal Battery may be drained or dead? If this is the case, is there any way to resolve this sans sending the camera back to Fuji-which sucks, because my warranty is now void. Anyone? Mahalo.
  19. I just moved up to the X-T2 and am parting with my beloved X-T1. The camera is in very good condition (some signs of black finish rub on on/off switch and EV dial). I'll try to reduce the size of the pictures so I can upload them (1MB limit here). Rubber grips are in good shape. Screen protector has some bubbles, but the screen is clean. Comes with body, box, flash, charger, battery, manual, (Fuji strap is missing). I do have the kit 18-55mm lens as well as the larger X-T1 eye cup that can include for an additional price. I'd heard the Sphinxes which guard the upper terrace of the old Crystal Palace had been newly re-terracotta'd but I couldn't believe my luck in finding a representative of The Lion of Judah taking his ease within its paws. He asked if i could add the Rasta colours so I obliged as below with a downloaded wallpaper of same rotated, sized, layered and erased as necessary. I suspect it's either for a profile pic of for his phone. He's a well known and popular guy going by the number of likes they received within minutes of posting on fb.

  23. Hi I have question for people who are using Meike MK320 flash with fujifilm x-t1. Previously I used it with x-pro1 camera and manulal lenses and it was working flawlesly in TTL mode. I've set up 1/60 of second and lowest possible ISO. When I shoot photos the flash unit fired single pre-flash to make the calculations and another to lighten the scene. Now I have X-T1 and Mk320 desn't make pre-flash. It works fine with XF lenses because they transfer f-stop data to flash unit automatically but with manual lenses there is a problem. I can't belive that potentially higher level camera ca
  24. Hey Everyone, This summer I spent 15 days in Japan. I took a X-Pro2 , X-T1 with the Xf23mm, Xf 18-55 & XC 50-230. I had purchased the X-Pro 2 for this trip, I used it for the first few days and didn't end up liking it. So I used my X-T1 for the remainder of the trip and Loved it!! Here is my photographic journey through this beautiful country. Enjoy! Japan 2016 - Gallery
  25. Just reading the latest edition of the online magazine for photographers: f11. It has a good article by Ian Poole, a Brisbane (Australia), professional photographer and his story of how he became a professional and then his switch to the Fujifilm X-T1. The pictures don't disappoint. His article starts on page 100 of the magazine. The link is here
