  1. I just bought this lens and then found a deal on a 10-24mm lens and this is too close to that, so I'm looking instead for a 56mm. I never even took one photo with this lens. New in box with all paperwork. $249 shipped to lower 48.

    Lens hood for 16mm 1.4 R WR

Hi All I did several searches, and couldn't find anything about lens hoods, not even the old "filters vs Hoods" chestnut, for protecting the front element. Anyway, thats my main reason for using them, and if they help with flare, great. My thought is that I have just got the 16mm 1.4, and I hope to get the 90mm, in the new year. That will complete my set of primes (apart from the 18mm & the 60mm, both of which I've had, and sold), I also have the amazing MCEX11, macro adapter. It's great on the 56mm, so I think it will be even better on the 90mm. I digress. I cannot bear to look at the hideous plastic petal, provided with the 16mm, so these are my choices : http://www.ebay.com/p/fujifilm-16mm-rectangular-lens-hood-lh-xf16-from-japan/1142157357, this is Fuji's own, and it seems to run at £60, 0r £70. It's a piece of pressed metal, with a snap in cover, I'm not sure if the cover is metal or plastic. Well thanks a lot Fuji. This should have been included, for the price, in my view. Here's an alternative, flared lens hood : https://www.amazon.co.uk/Fotga-Screw-Mount-Metal-Pentax/dp/B009GFYE4I/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1481853945&sr=1-4-fkmr0&keywords=67mm+metal+lens+hood+for+Fuji+16mm+1.4+lens A shorter, vented one : https://www.amazon.co.uk/BlueBeach®-Metal-Vented-Olympus-Pentax/dp/B0149IA5V2/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1481853945&sr=1-3-fkmr0&keywords=67mm+metal+lens+hood+for+Fuji+16mm+1.4+lens Or just a straight metal one : https://www.amazon.co.uk/BlueBeach-Olympus-Panasonic-Pentax-Samsung/dp/B010K1Y05Y/ref=sr_1_fkmr1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1481853945&sr=1-1-fkmr1&keywords=67mm+metal+lens+hood+for+Fuji+16mm+1.4+lens I can't really afford, or justify, spending £70 on a lens hood, although that would be my preference style wise, my second preference, would be the straight tube. listed last her, or the short vented cap. My least attractive option, imho, is the straight flared hood, but I can imagine that's the one you will all be advising me to get, and I suppose, I know the other choices might cause vignetting. On the other hand Fuji's own isn't very big though I supposed it's got sticking out corners So I'm hoping someone is going to say that they use on of the other two cheaper choices, and don't get vignetting. Anyone....?
